About
The European Week of Regions and Cities is the biggest annual Brussels-based event dedicated to regional policy. The event has grown to become a unique communication and networking platform, bringing together regions and cities from all over Europe, including their political representatives, officials as well as experts and academics.
This year, the European Week of Regions and Cities – under the motto “Restart. Europe. Together” – will spread over three consecutive weeks in October, each dedicated to one timely topic:
👫 5-9 October: Empowering Citizens
🤝 12-16 October: Cohesion and cooperation
🌱 19-22 October: Green Europe, in cooperation with the Green Week
⚠️ Please note that Facebook does not allow events that last longer than 2 weeks. #EURegionsWeek 2020 will take place for 3 weeks between 5-22 October. ⚠️
Format
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the related health and safety measures, the majority of the record-breaking 500 sessions (Workshops; Q&A; Participatory labs) will be fully digital. The exception are key events and workshops requiring interpretation, which are going to be organized in a hybrid format (online with a limited physical presence) and EURegionsTalks, which are either pre-recorded or live. Other events such as exhibitions will be in either digital or physical format and regional tastings will be in physical.
